DAY 1
Depart USA

Our spiritual journey begins today as we board our international flight to Sydney, Australia. Sit back and relax as you prepare to explore breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and sacred moments in both Australia and New Zealand. Meals and beverages will be served aloft.

DAY 2

DAY 3
Arrive in Sydney

Welcome to Sydney! Upon arrival, we are greeted by our Holy Land Travel Center Representative and transferred to our hotel to rest and refresh. Sydney is Australia’s most iconic city, known for its harbor, sunny coastline, and dynamic culture. Take the evening to unwind and prepare for the exciting days ahead.        

DAY 4
Sydney

Begin our journey through Sydney’s rich colonial history with a walking tour through The Rocks, one of the oldest parts of the city. Discover cobblestone streets, historic pubs, and sandstone buildings that tell the story of the city’s convict past. Learn about landmarks like Cadman’s Cottage and the Argyle Cut as we explore this charming area nestled beneath the Harbour Bridge.

DAY 5
Sydney

This morning, we gather for a special Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, a spiritual heart of Sydney. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic lunch cruise around Sydney Harbour aboard the MV Sydney 2000 or John Cadman 2. Take in stunning views of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and waterfront neighborhoods as we enjoy a relaxing two-course premium meal.

DAY 6
Depart Sydney

Today we transfer to the airport for our flight to New Zealand. Upon arrival in Christchurch, we are greeted by our representative and transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Nestled on the South Island, Christchurch is a charming city known for its gardens, English heritage, and its creative recovery following major earthquakes.

DAY 7
Akaroa Peninsula

Celebrate Mass at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral before we travel to the scenic Banks Peninsula and Akaroa. Originally settled by the French, Akaroa features colonial cottages, quaint cafés, and stunning harbor views. Learn about its rich history and enjoy time to explore the peaceful village. The lush coastal drive offers incredible views and a refreshing change of pace.

DAY 8
Depart to Dunedin

Travel south from Christchurch through the vast Canterbury Plains, passing through charming towns like Timaru and Oamaru, known for its unique white stone buildings. Stop at the mysterious Moeraki Boulders before arriving in Dunedin. Known as the “Edinburgh of the South,” Dunedin offers a mix of Scottish heritage, Victorian architecture, and coastal beauty.

DAY 9
Larnach Castle

This morning we visit Larnach Castle, New Zealand’s only castle, with beautiful gardens and sweeping views. Then drive through Otago’s historic goldfields and fruit-growing regions, including Clyde and Cromwell. We follow the Kawarau River through Gibbston Valley—famous for Pinot Noir—before arriving in the alpine adventure town of Queenstown.

DAY 10
Queenstown

Journey through Fiordland National Park as we travel from Queenstown to Milford Sound. Stop for photos along Mirror Lakes and walk through native forests near The Chasm. Once in Milford Sound, board a cruise to marvel at dramatic waterfalls, misty cliffs, and wildlife. Mitre Peak rises sharply from the fjord, offering an unforgettable backdrop to this tranquil cruise.

DAY 11
Queenstown

Explore the scenic Wakatipu Basin with stops at Arrowtown, Coronet Peak, and Kawarau Gorge. Enjoy time to wander historic Arrowtown and learn about its gold mining past. Later, cruise aboard the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Station for a delicious gourmet BBQ dinner and a sheep-herding demonstration before returning across the lake under the stars.

DAY 12
Flight to Auckland

Fly to Auckland this morning and upon arrival we transfer to St. Patrick and St. Joseph’s Cathedral where we attend Mass and have a short orientation tour around Auckland before we transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 13
Matamata

Travel through the lush pastures of the Waikato region to Matamata and explore the iconic Hobbiton Movie Set. Walk among Hobbit Holes, The Mill, and the Green Dragon Inn as your guide shares fascinating stories from the filming of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Return to Auckland in the evening.

DAY 14
Depart to USA

This morning we transfer to Auckland International Airport for our return flights home. As we bid farewell to beautiful Aotearoa, we carry with us unforgettable memories of sacred sites, breathtaking landscapes, and the friendships formed along the way. Mā te wā – until we meet again!
