DAY 2
Arrival
This morning we arrive in Dublin and
after visa formalities meet our Holy Land Travel Center
Representative. We enjoy a motor coach tour of Ireland’s capital,
including a drive by the Christ Church Cathedral, or Cathedral
of Holy Trinity, founded by the Danes in 1030. We arrive at
Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church, where we will celebrate Mass
and see the Shrine of Our Lady of Dublin and the Shrine of St.
Valentine. Finally, we arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight
in Dublin
DAY 3
Dublin
This morning after an early Mass we
travel to Malahide Castle & Gardens for a tour of the grounds and
estate. Afterwards we return to Dublin for a tour of Dublin’s
churches, St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral, and stopping in at Our
Lady of Lourdes Church to visit the Shrine of the Venerable Matt
Talbot. Afternoon free.
DAY 4
Cork
Today we
depart Dublin to journey towards Cork. On our way, we will see
the Rock of Cashel, which contains one of the most remarkable
collections of Celtic art. We continue on to Blarney Castle, one of
Ireland’s oldest and most famous castles. Surrounding the
castle are extensive gardens with paths along the grounds.
Cork is the day’s final destination where we will continue to
our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5
Cork
Mass at St. Peter and Paul’s Church before we take a tour of historic Cork City Gaol, the picturesque harbor, and downtown. Afterwards, visit Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral which belongs to the Church of Ireland. St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral stands on the site where the city of Cork was founded in the 7th century. We then visit the Shandon Bell’s at St. Anne’s Church where we will have the opportunity to climb the tower and ring the bells. Overnight: Cork (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 6
Killarney
We depart Cork this morning for Killarney. We drive the famous scenic Ring of Kerry on our way to the Killarney area where we will have a free afternoon before dinner and overnight.

DAY 7
Killarney Area
Today we drive to the Killarney National Park where we visit Muckross Abbey and Muckross House. We then visit Ross Castle before we return to our hotel in Killarney for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Killarney Area (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 8
Killarney
After breakfast, we Celebrate Mass* at St. Mary’s in Killarney, considered one of the most beautiful Gothic Revival cathedrals in Europe. After Mass and a brief tour, we continue to the Irish Franciscans Monastery. We spend some time at the Killarney House and Gardens a beautifully restored estate where we can enjoy a tour of the historic rooms and take in the beauty of the gardens. Continue to Shannon for our dinner and overnight. Overnight: Shannon (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 9
Shannon
This morning we visit the Cliffs of Moher which in 2009 were named one of 28 global finalists in the “New Seven Wonders of Nature.” We then return to Shannon and attend Mass at Immaculate Mother of God Catholic Church before we take a day trip to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Shannon (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 10
Lough Derg
Today we depart Shannon and continue to Lough Derg where St. Patrick killed a large serpent which turned the water red. While driving around the lake we stop at the Dominican Abbey Lorrha Ruins and the Saint Ruadhans Abbey Lorrha Ruins. Time permitting, we take a short boat ride to Station Island. We check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Lough Derg (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 11
Knock
We drive to Knock, where we visit the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of Knock, the single most important Marian Shrine in all of Ireland. We visit and celebrate Mass in the Apparition Chapel where the apparition of Our Lady, Saint Joseph and Saint John the Evangelist occurred and was witnessed by some 15 people in 1879. Following Mass, we enjoy free time to explore the Sanctuary’s grounds, including a visit to the shrine’s museum. Later in the afternoon, we will visit Croagh Patrick; Saint Patrick’s Holy Mountain, where tradition states that St. Patrick spent 40 days fasting during Lent in 441. The site has been a place of Christian worship and pilgrimage ever since. Those who wish may climb a short way to a small shrine which is part way up the mountain or “Croagh”. DAY 12
Downpatrick
Depart for Northern Ireland, where we will visit the town of Armagh, where St. Patrick built Ireland’s first stone church. In Armagh we will visit and celebrate Mass at the beautiful St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Following Mass, we continue to Downpatrick for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Downpatrick (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 13
Downpatrick
Today we enjoy a day in Downpatrick where we will visit The Saint Patrick Centre, a wonderfully spiritual place dedicated to Ireland’s patron saint, where we will enjoy interactive exhibits and stories about the life and legacy of Saint Patrick. On Cathedral Hill we will visit and celebrate Mass in the Down Cathedral, where we will see the grave of Saint Patrick. Next, we will visit St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, housing St. Patrick’s Shrine. Before returning to Dublin, we will also visit the St. Patrick Statue, the tallest statue of Saint Patrick in the world, as well as Saul Church, known as the “Cradle of Christianity” in Ireland, built on the site of St. Patrick’s earliest Christian worship. DAY 14
Dublin
Today we travel back to Dublin through Boyne Valley. We stop at Mellifont Abbey, the first Cisterian Abbey to be built in Ireland before exploring Fourknock Tombs. We return once more to Dublin to visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral before checking into our hotels for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Dublin (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 15
Return Home
Today we board our flights home with memories and keepsakes to last a lifetime.
