Join us on an 8 day pilgrimage to Mexico City.
Itinerary
*9 Days are spent in The Holy Land & 5 days are spent in Egypt (excluding travel time)
DAY 1
Depart USA
Once you arrive to Mexico City, we are immediately transferred to Puebla in time for dinner at the hotel.
DAY 2
Puebla
Mass at Chapel of the Rosary in the Church of St. Domingo. Visit the Cathedral and other points of interest in Puebla with its beautifully colonial facades and interesting buildings. Lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon, visit the suburb of Cholula and the Indian Church to Sta. Maria Tonantzintla.
DAY 3
Mexico City
Depart Puebla for Mexico City, stopping enroute at San Miguel del Milagro with its interesting history and engulfed in miraculous happenings. Continue to the nearby town of Ocotlan for Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Ocotlan, site where Our Lady burnt her image in an oak tree. Time for a visit to the beautiful Church of San Francisco nearby. Continue to Mexico City, arriving in time for dinner on your own at the hotel.
DAY 4
Mexico City
This morning, enroute to the Shrine, a stop will be made at the Plaza of the 3 Cultures (Tlaltelolco) to see the Church of St. James where San Juan Diego was baptized Continue to the Shrine to attend the Mass. Visit grounds. Continue to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan to see the Pyramids of the Sun, the Moon, Quetzal Butterfly Temple. Lunch included at Gran Teocalli.
DAY 5
Mexico City
Mass at Los Remedios followed by a visit to the Museum of Anthropology. Continuing to Coyoacan and afterwards, a delightful gondola ride along the flower laden canals of Xochimilco – the floating gardens of Mexico. A box lunch will be provided on the gondola. Optional: Later in the evening we head to the Palace of Fine Arts for a Mexican Folklore Ballet.
DAY 6
Mexico City
Mass at Miguel Pro, visit the Zocalo with Metropolitan Cathedral, Templo Mayor, and National Palace – murals of Diego Rivera. Lunch at the rooftop restaurant of Holiday Inn, overlooking the Zocalo. Farewell visit to the Shrine. Farewell dinner at the hotel.
DAY 7
Return to USA
After breakfast, we board our flight home, carrying with us memories and keepsakes that will last a lifetime.
