Upon arrival you are greeted by your Holy Land Travel Center Representative. Immediately we are transferred to our hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Tel Aviv (Dinner)

Old Jaffa / Tiberias

In the morning visit to Old Jaffa Port. Walk through the narrow passages of Old Jaffa, believed to be the oldest port city in the world and where cedars from Lebanon arrived to build Solomon’s Temple. See St. Peter’s Church and take a spectacular view of Tel Aviv shoreline from Jaffa Hilltop. Head to Caesarea by the Sea to visit the Roman Crusader remains before we continue to Haifa. Upon arrival in Haifa, we will visit Stella Maris, a Carmelite Monastery with the Madonna of Mt Carmel. Next, we stop at the Baha’i Gardens, which includes a staircase of nineteen terraces extending all the way up the northern slope of Mount Carmel. Continue to Megiddo, the site of Armageddon where it is prophesied the gathering of the armies for the battle of the end of times will take place. Visit the archaeological excavations at Megiddo, including the well-preserved water supply system. Continue along the Jezerel Valley to Tiberias where we will check in to our hotel for the night. Overnight: Tiberias (Breakfast, Dinner)

Following breakfast we head to the top of Mount Precipice/Precipitation/Leap of the Lord, site of the rejection of Jesus. Enjoy this beautiful view before we continue to the Basilica of Annunciation. On our way to Tiberias we will stop in Cana where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning water into wine. Here couples will have the opportunity to renew wedding vows. Next, we enjoy a visit to Joseph’s carpentry shop. This afternoon, we head to Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration. Visit the baptismal site of Yardenit on the Jordan River, where believers celebrate and some take the opportunity to submerge themselves in the same waters where the Holy Spirit descended like a dove from heaven, when John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Continue to Tiberias. Overnight: Tiberias (Breakfast, Dinner)

Today we will take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum to see the synagogue and St Peter’s house, a visit to the Mount of the Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount was given, to Tabgha to see the splendid mosaic about the miracle of the loaves and fishes, and to the nearby Church of Peter’s Primacy where Peter was told “Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.” We then head to Ginosar and visit the “Ancient Jesus Boat”, the remains of the 2000 year old boat used at the time of Jesus and his disciples, discovered in 1986. We end our day with a visit to Magdala Center, the village of Mary Magdalene. Overnight: Tiberias (Breakfast, Dinner)

Tiberias / Bethlehem

Today on your Holy Land tour visit the 1500 feet mountaintop fortress of Masada famous for being the last stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. We will ascend to Masada by cable car and discover the first century Synagogue, King Herod’s Bathhouse and other sites atop of Masada. Descend and continue to the oasis of Ein Gedi, where David hid in a cave when running from Saul. It was here that David composed several of his Psalms. Next visit to Qumran where a cache of ancient biblical texts, the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947. Continue to the Golden City of Jerusalem and proceed to a panoramic view of Jerusalem from Mount Scopus and take time for prayer. Continue to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Bethlehem (Breakfast, Dinner)

This morning we drive to Shepherd’s Fields where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. We then visit the Church of the Nativity that stands upon the site where Jesus was born. Drive up to Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist and home to the Church of Visitation. After a guided tour we head to the Mount of Olives where Jesus prayed. Continue to the Church of Pater Noster where Jesus taught the disciples the Lord’s Prayer. Next, we walk the Palm Sunday Road and visit Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem, then to Gethsemane and the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest. We end our day visiting the Wailing Wall before we return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Bethlehem (Breakfast, Dinner)

Jerusalem Old and New

Following breakfast we head to Mount Zion, visiting the cave of Assumption (Dormition Abbey) of Mary to heaven. We visit the room of the Last Supper, and the Church of St. Peter Gallicantu, where Peter denied Jesus three times. Continue to view the Sisters of Zion, Ecco Homo where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man.” Next, we retrace the last steps of Jesus as we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City all the way to the final station inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit The Garden Tomb where we celebrate the resurrection of Christ with time for prayer. This evening we will visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust History Museum in New Jerusalem. Overnight: Bethlehem (Breakfast, Dinner)

Bethany/ Jericho

We begin our day with a visit to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. The desert east of Jerusalem is rich in Christian tradition. At the oasis town of Jericho, visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. On the way back there is time for a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties. We then visit the Jordan River to remember our Lord’s baptism. Overnight: Bethlehem (Breakfast, Dinner)
